Paragon Freight Inc (“Paragon Freight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit paragonfreight.net (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us, including when you apply to drive for us or request freight services. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly and information collected automatically.
Information you provide. When you submit a driver or owner-operator application, request a freight quote, complete a contact form, or email us, you may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or business address, company name, and the contents of your message. Driver and owner-operator applicants may also provide employment history, commercial driver’s license (CDL) information, and other details relevant to evaluating qualifications.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and provide freight services and quotes;
- evaluate and process driver and owner-operator applications;
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our services;
- measure and analyze Site traffic and usage;
- deliver and measure advertising, including recruiting advertisements;
- communicate with you about your requests, our services, and career opportunities; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and support advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, and Google Ads, including remarketing, to deliver advertisements—such as driver recruiting ads—to people who have visited the Site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can manage personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings and the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tools. Disabling cookies may affect how the Site functions.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, advertising, recruiting and applicant tracking, and—for driver applicants—background screening and motor vehicle record providers.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Paragon Freight, our customers, drivers, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
5. Driver and Owner-Operator Applicants
Information submitted through driver or owner-operator applications is used to evaluate your qualifications for engagement with Paragon Freight. Where applicable, this information may be shared with background-check and motor vehicle record providers and used consistent with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, and other applicable laws. Submitting an application does not constitute an offer or guarantee of employment or engagement.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, evaluate applications, and meet our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.
7. Data Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages or by contacting us. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
10. Do Not Track
The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
